My Story
I grew up in Plainfield, Illinois, and started playing soccer at the age of 4. Growing up, I played for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) beginning when I was 12, where I made the state, regional, and international teams all the way through high school. While I competed with those teams, I also played for local clubs in the area, which ultimately lead to a scholarship opportunity to play at Western Kentucky University.
I started every game my freshman year, but had some unfortunate events occur which lead to my transfer to Bellarmine University in the spring of 2020 following my sophomore year. I played 3 seasons at Bellarmine before I stepped away from soccer in the spring of 2022.
For as long as I remember, my whole life had been soccer. When it was gone, I felt like I lost a sense of who I was. I didn't know what to do with this new sense of freedom or what I was supposed to do next. Through self-reflection and some time in therapy, I have grown to find great aspects of life that bring me the same joy as the field did for all those years. I am so honored to be a part of Afterlete, and I cannot wait to hear your story and see all the greatness lurking within you.
